This comes in real handy when, say, a slightly different Scapple diagram is used in two different Projects. All the Scapple, Photos, Timeline files associated with that particular project are stored in those Folders, so that everything associated with that project is easily located and kept together. One is titled Photos, another called Scapple, and a third folder is Aeon Timeline. What I do is add a couple of additional Folders there. Inside that Folder are a bunch of Folders used by Scrivener. When I created the project, Scrivener created a Folder in My Documents called Transition.scriv. For instance, my wip is a Scrivener project called Transition. I use this feature many times a Schiller corbett morgan Another thing that I do that may not occur to many is to keep the Scapple diagram files associated with a Scrivener Project within that project. Then any file with that extension, i.e.scap will open the file using that application program. If it doesn’t work with a particular application, you must associate the file extension with the. I use it for Aeon Timeline and to reference documents in Word, for instance. You can use this same technique with most other applications. Now, if what you really want to do is to actually put a snapshot of the diagram INTO the document so it can be included in the compile, you must import a static image of the diagram. I’m using it at the moment while creating character profiles where I have brainstormed in Scapple and want the diagram available while I translate the diagram into text on the Scrivener page. At that point, you are actually working in Scapple but you got there from a page in Scrivener. Double click on the little icon, and the Scapple program will start with that particular diagram file opened and ready to use. A small icon will then appear on the Inspector Panel under Document References. Navigate to where the Scapple file is located and select it. Click the + and select Look Up & Add External Reference. Look in the Inspector panel under Document References. Sarah corbett morgan Rebeca Schiller anthem2004 it’s very simple.
